After a good night sleep and little refreshing swim we are on the road by 8:30am.

Driving through Trump area, we did see lots of solar farms

Lunch in Memphis, but after Nashville this Blue-grass music city was a disappointment. And it was unbearable hot hot hot!! Like 95 Fahrenheit π€ͺ

We did Beale Street, walked 100 steps along Mississippi River (way too hot), car free Main Street. But not much excitement.
The afternoon drive was more interesting, through agriculture region: soybean fields (harvesting), cotton fields, rice

Visiting in Searcy Grant and his family. Grant was my first boat captain and my year round summer kid #27. His son Daniel of 18 months is really a cutie.

His wife Trixie is a biology Professor at Harding University and lives chickens. She named them after cities they visited during their 2015 European trip: Paris, Deinze, Eeklo, Lillo, Leuven,

We had a real country dinner in the Rambler Grill (fried okra, sweet potatoes waffle fries, …)
